Good afternoon Scrappy and Card making friends. Hope all is well in your crafty corners this afternoon. It is hot here in TX. Some say we will hit record temps this week. It is just the end of June and they are already talking record highs in the triple digits. Pass me another glass of ICED tea and let's turn on the fans.

Our Founding Fathers

I am a fan of Mary at Cardztv.  This week she is the Paper Playtime Queen of the week.  So I decided to participate in this week's challenge (Paper Playtime Challenge #2 ).  The theme was "In thy face I see honor, truth and loyalty."  First thoughts were God and country, soldiers and Old Glory, etc.  Since DH and I had recently viewed a program about Benjamin Franklin I decided to honor three of our Founding Fathers: George Washington, Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson.

Missing You

Hello again.  I have been behind getting all of my cards posted and am trying to get them finished up today.  Hopefully I will be successful.

I found the black-eyed susan die cuts in my stash and had to make a card with them.  They look so summery.  As I mentioned in a previous post I love flowers.  I lean more toward English Country Gardens.  You know the ones with lots of different flowers all growing in am unplanned kind of way.  I also like very planned rose gardens.  I have neither.  I can say that I have a delightful Iris bunch in the pond and some very tall and glorious cannas at the back fence.  Otherwise it is a bit too shady for and flowers in my yard.  Well, without further ado here is my Missing You card full of sunshine!

Materials used
White Cardstock – The Paper Company
Brown Cardstock – unknown

Pink Dot Flower Pot

I loved making this card.  Two reasons I love this card is: 1) the color combination is one of my favorites: pink, green and white; 2) flowers.  I love flowers.  Although I love flowers I DO NOT like digging in the dirt.  There are creepy, crawly things in there.  I have hurt myself one too many times trying to get away from a creepy, crawly thing.  I would rather clean toilets than dig in the dirt.  Well I digress.

A Brave New World … Craft Blogging

Hello fellow Card and Craft bloggers!

This is a new world to me and I am being quite brave to step out into this world of craft blogging. Although I have blogged before it has never been for a personal passion outside of my work life. This is a new challenge for me. Although my DH thinks I am very computer/tech savvy, I am quite behind the times. I am just learning how to download pics from my digital camera. So … we shall see how this progresses. I look forward to the challenge.

I have made several new cards and will be posting them very soon. Some I may have to be re-created as I did not get pics of the originals before they left the house for their intended destinations.

Well, I guess that is all for now. It is very late for me, almost 3 AM … or maybe I am just getting a very early start to my day … if that is true I will need a nap by 10 AM. Oh bother! I shall return in a day or two with another post and maybe some pics.

Thanks for stopping by! Blessings!
